Thursday, July 23rd CORKSCREW, U.S. BASIN

Trio of Jeeps headed towards Ouray for Mexican food via Corkscrew.  First, Charles & Jane, Bruce & JoAnn, Jim and I took the side trail off Corkscrew to Gray Copper Gulch, one of my favorite spots for photos.  The lighting wasn't quite right to get the mountains' reflection in the pond, but we did get the trees:


 On top of Corkscrew, the elevation is just a little over 12,600 feet:
