Sat, July 11th U.S. BASIN & BLACK BEAR

Jane & Charles were up early this morning to cheer the arrival of first place Kilian Jornet in the Hardrock 100.  See the video here:

After lunch at Handlebars, we went over to the gym and looked at the times for runners in; poked around in the items for sale: bought t-shirts and talked with some of the people.

Next, we headed to U.S. Basin and then onto the top of Black Bear Pass (elevation 12,840 feet).  
We had sunny skies, threatening clouds, rain & sleet all in the span of a few hours. 


 All the snow made for some green, green landscapes:
