Well, we and Brett & Alexis "tried" something new today, but were not able to complete the planned route. Ophir Pass has been opened up, so we were able to travel across Ophir. Just had to do so maneuvering with oncoming traffic. Once thru the little town of Ophir (where we stopped and bought fresh chocolate chip cookies from some enterprising youngsters), we headed south on Hwy 145 to pick up the National Forest road to Bolam Pass. We were doing okay for awhile, but once again encountered too much snow across the trail to continue. It was turn around and head back the way you came. We are determined to do this trail. Jim and I tried it several years ago only to be stopped by a washed out bridge. Maybe later this summer!
