June 8th Trail Attempts

We have been in Silverton for a few days and today is the first day it is not raining (and COLD).  We have taken advantage of the rainy weather to get the coach organized now that it's parked for the summer.  Larry, Linda, Bert & Alexis or here and we have enjoyed dinners out with them.  Lots of laughs.

All you have to do is open a hood in the campground and they will come.  Larry had to replace his battery.  No lack of supervision.

 This morning, we headed to Ophir.  It has been open to the top at the Pass and I wanted to see the tall snow walls.  We were not able to make it.  New snow from the weekend has the trail closed long before the top.  There is also an avalanche hazard right now so we turned around.

 Next we drove to Mineral to see if we could find one of the three moose that people have been encountering.  No luck today and we ran into a snow covered dead-end on that trail as well.
