Sat June 13th, Attempts at CALIFORNIA, ARASTRA, HAZELTON

Well, I guess we are just surrounded by snow!  We started out toward California.  The trail thru Gladstone is clear, but once you get to the Corkscrew/California fork, California is completely covered in snow.  So it was turn around and head back down.

Next, we took the lower road (old railway right of way) along the Animas River.  "Don't drive" thru the water doesn't apply out here:
Jim takes time to"air down" the tires.  We had inflated them for the drive to Montrose on Friday and forgot to put them back down:

 Hate this spot; wash-out on the ledge, huge rock on the right.
