I was looking forward to dinner at the Teller House tonight followed by a big piece of chocolate cake. We went into town for dinner to find the doors locked & Rudy standing out on the sidewalk near tears. Establishments have a hard time hiring enough servers as it is and he had an employee quit at the beginning of the dinner shift. This left him with not enough employees to prepare & serve dinner as it should be served. But since it was my birthday, he sent two big pieces of chocolate cake (on the house) with me. Second choice, the Moose Bar & Grill was closed until Monday. Being Saturday night, Handlebars was slammed. We ended up having barbecue at The Pitts. Then we took an evening ride down Mineral looking for wildlife. Saw a large group of teens on some type of club outing. They had a big "chuck wagon" set up & offered us dinner; should have gone there first! Jim had them sing Happy Birthday to me.
Saw nothing in the way of critters. Not even the moose was in the usual pond. Just as well as we forgot to take a camera. Here's a couple of evening shots from the cell phone:
And if anybody wants a server job in the mountains thru October 1st, I can hook you up!
